Foreign floating object found by ultrasound — 16 cm complex ovarian cyst

Endometrial biopsy (ouch) = negative (this means there is no uterine cancer)
CA 125 blood test = 49 (this result means pretty much nothing)

Surgery to remove all affected organs will happen soon.

Grimmy, be brave — Eric reminds me. Tomorrow they remove the bulbous bouffant and various sundry organs.

I don’t want you to worry or be anxious, but the doctor called this morning and he said I have ovarian cancer. There was cancer in both ovaries, uterus, and in the abdominal wash.

Next step is an appointment May 10 with a gynecological oncologist in Peoria, Illinois. I’ll be compiling a list of nutritional supplements which will be helpful to my healing. We ask the Lord for wisdom and healing.

I’m so sorry to hear that news. Praying and sending hugs (((Laurie))) xxx Jeremiah 17:7,8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit”

    Thank you Michaela.

  3. Alexandra Says:

We are continuing to pray. Thank you for sharing your life, love, and wisdom with so many through the years. I remember a version of “10 Things a Child Should Know Before 10″ in. . . 1996? I was homeschooling my husband’s siblings and taking care of my first born. It was very encouraging when I needed it most.

  4. LaurieBluedorn Says:

Thank you Alexandra. That might have been the year I wrote it, so long ago. I’m happy it was useful to you.

  5. Annabelle Kopf Says:

    Dearest Laurie,

We have never met but I have learned so much from you through this site. Praying for your complete healing, Jesus/Yeshua is the Healer of all our diseases. Have you heard of Dr. Lorraine Day? She was a top orthopedic surgeon and healed herself of her advanced, stage 4 breast cancer naturally, with no chemo or radiation. She tells you xactly how she did it on her website and in her books/DVDs and you can listen to many of her talks for free on YouTube (dr Lorraine Day breast cancer); she is an awesome woman of God and has such an amazing testimony of healing. As you are praying about your treatment options, I hope you will take some time to listen to her message, it will strengthen and comfort you for sure! She has a website also. Praying for you, sister! :) Shalom and much love in Him, the Kopf family

Dear Laurie, I have been blessed by you and your husband’s help for many years, for which I thank you sincerely. My heart goes out to you, your husband and your family. I will be praying for you all. A precious verse to me that I pray encourages you,
Isaiah 41:13, “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.'”

Praying for wisdom and courage for you and your family as well as those caring for you. You and your family have been such a blessing to our family over the years. Grateful that you shared so we can stand by you now.

  16. Sherry Says:

Mrs. Bluedorn, my family is praying for you. May the Lord give you peace and understanding during this time.

  17. Jeannette Says:

    Laurie,

I just read this and will include you in our prayers. I am a registered dietitian and truly believe in complementary or alternative medicine. The supplements you are looking at sound like a great start. I would order the Truth About Cancer DVD’s or book from Ty Bollinger and would look into detox and colonics, juicing, alkalinizing your diet and your water and cutting out sugar. Let me know if you need my help. Hugs to you and your family. I so appreciate all the wisdom you have shared through the years.
