Laurie,
This post is actually quite an encouragement, as our (almost) 8 year old son wrote a very cute “seafood restaurant menu” yesterday, and the spelling is horrible! (It is still very precious!)
Do you remember how/when Ava’s spelling improved?
Thank you

Hi Again,
I just had to post the “Seafood Restaurant” menu on our blog. Thought you might like to see it. Enjoy!

Thank you for posting Ava’s paper on caring for birds on your website. It was such an encouragement to me. My almost seven year old still confuses b and d and writes 3’s backwards (as well as other things). She is bright and though she loves me to read to her she does not enjoy the 15 minutes a day I have her read to me (she picks the book). It just gave me so much hope that she is not doing terribly in school. Also, on the Basically Bluedorn yahoo group someone mentioned singing the Greek Alphabet to the tune of Supercaligragilisticexpialidocious. My 6, 4, and 3 year olds know all the letters - not by sight. Using Itty Bitty Baby learns Greek and the song we were soon on our way to learning the alphabet. Oh, learning can be so much fun! Thanks for your help in helping us homeschool our little people.
