My 8 yo has always been homeschooled. She is the second born of 5 children who are also being homeschooled. We've noticed for about three years that this child chooses to play with younger children, when given an opportunity. She plays with her older sister, but when playing with someone outside our family, her friends are primarily younger by at least two years. She behaves, socially, more similarly to our 6 yo boy than like our 10 yo girl. I don't know if this behavior is "immature" for her age, or if she is simply acting "childish" and that it is perfectly normal. I'm desiring suggestions and encouragement, please.
Thank you!
